Well, Dallasites we are successfully making our way through this oh-so-wonderful week! So far it's been absolutely splendid - brunch, a movie, shopping, and a visit to the Dallas Zoo today! Tomorrow I leave for Washington D.C. to visit my sweet girlfriend, Mary! I couldn't be more excited! An evening monument tour, capitol wanderings, museums, and of course quality time with my love. I'll definitely be taking lots of pictures to share with y'all when I return! If you want to keep up with my little vacation, I would love for you to follow me on Instagram. Have a glorious week & weekend! xoxo You can also follow Lavender + Pink on Facebook, Pinterest, and Blog Lovin'! Today is my sister Cerise's birthday! It also happens to be International Women's Day, which I think is incredibly coincidental, since my sister is such a fabulous lady! My wonderfully talented, splendidly snappish, beautiful running-advocate of a sister! I love her! We fight like cats & dogs, but I wouldn't trade her for the world! For months my sister has been asking me to send her pictures from my wedding (and I keep forgetting)! So in homage to her birthday, I thought I would share some pictures from that day, shared between me and my sister. It was one of my favorite moments and I am so glad it was captured on film. Happy Birthday, Sista! xoxo If you haven't been to Klyde Warren Park, you seriously need to take a trip downtown. My absolute favorite thing about the park is the rotating food trucks from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. every day!! With one of my most recent obsessions, fabulous catered food out of adorable trucks, I can't help cheating on one of my New Year's resolutions - especially for extra cheesy and super greasy deliciousness. I just love the spectacular convenience + variety of choice; and at Klyde Warren you can spread out your goodies on the lawn or enjoy sitting at one of their pretty lime green park tables. I always look forward to grabbing lunch from Ruthie's and The Butcher's Son. Sandwich amazingness!! Now, don't worry my lovely readers - I'm still eating clean (the majority of the time) - feasting on kale chips, pure proteins, creamy avocado pasta, and just last night I made frozen yogurt drops. But sometimes you have to enjoy a little treat! Go to the park! xoxo Last Saturday afternoon with my mum and sister, rummaging through Lula B's and finding three little baubles to remember our girl's weekend.
Happy Friday! xoxo One thing the Dallas Fish Market guarantees you is the luxury of enjoying decadently fresh seafood miles away from the coast. At the center of Downtown Dallas, with its super chic and modern decor, it is just about the coolest place to dine on seafood. I love it so much I've been twice this week, and planning a third trip today! xoxo There are lots of things I adore about Pinterest. The unique ideas, the fashion inspiration, and of course the plethora of DIY projects. I am constantly pinning and repinning inspirations for recipes, fashion and decor - searching for something pretty to make or buy. I was a late bloomer, but last night I reached one thousand pins, and for some reason it felt like an accomplishment. So today I thought I would share some of my all time favorite pins which come from some of my very favorite blogs and websites. Enjoy, Pinterest lovers! xoxo Friday night I spent the evening at the Magnolia Hotel with my mother and big sister. This landmark building, with it's iconic Pegasus sign illuminated on top, is located in Downtown Dallas (literally across the street from my apartment). I've stayed here a couple of times and I am always impressed with the staff's hospitality, the spectacular views of the city, and the hotel's amazing perks - such as, late night milk + cookies!
Check back later, for more pics of our girl's weekend! xoxo I had a fantastic weekend and I am so super sad that it's over. My incredibly + thoughtful husband planned a lovely date night for the two of us. Starting with a mini shopping spree at my favorite store and ending with a movie in bed. I wish I had some pictures to share, because it was definitely picturesque, with a new dress + baubles, amazing cocktails at Charlie Palmer, and outstanding food at Saint Ann. But if you follow me on Instagram you got a little sample of our date night. Y'all I seriously have the best husband. And as if things couldn't get any better, on Sunday we headed to Bishop Arts with some of my favorite people. And I did take pictures of that! My weekend soiree in Dallas: an anthropologie outing courtesy of my sweet honey charming cocktails at Charlie Palmer a dreamy dinner at Saint Ann an Oddfellows brunch complete with chicken + waffles a coconut lovers dream at Emporium Pies |
