Well, lovelies I'm back. I know that it's been while... but I needed to take a little break. So much has been happening over the past few months. If you follow me on instagram then you probably already know that the hubby and I are packing our bags and moving to St. Louis, Missouri. With one decision, our perfectly mapped out life was altered, jostled, and shaken about. Every weekend has been filled with family and friends, and we have dedicated copious amounts of time to apartment hunting, city exploring, and (for me) job hunting. Needless to say, I am sad about leaving my beloved city. However, we are going to conquer our list of Dallas to-do's, and say au revoir to Dallas and hello to St. Louis. Life is moving on and so are we. I am going to continue to document my adventures and share the things I love.
xoxo Today is my sister Cerise's birthday! It also happens to be International Women's Day, which I think is incredibly coincidental, since my sister is such a fabulous lady! My wonderfully talented, splendidly snappish, beautiful running-advocate of a sister! I love her! We fight like cats & dogs, but I wouldn't trade her for the world!
For months my sister has been asking me to send her pictures from my wedding (and I keep forgetting)! So in homage to her birthday, I thought I would share some pictures from that day, shared between me and my sister. It was one of my favorite moments and I am so glad it was captured on film. Happy Birthday, Sista! xoxo Isn't this print by Emily McDowell the cutest?! I thought it was perfect for today! A box of love to make your Valentine’s day a little sweeter. I hope you have a lovely day filled with handmade valentines, glittered hearts, sprinkles + sparkles, and heaps of love.
Happy Valentine's Day Dallas! Extra hugs and kisses! xoxoxox If your week has been anything like my week, then you are über excited that it's Friday and the start of the weekend. Click here for some fabulously free festivities and enjoy our beautiful city!
Happy Friday! xoxo That's right my lovely readers, I have been fulfilling my resolutions. For an entire month I have been dutifully crossing my t's, dotting my i's, and aspiring to make the most out of the new year. My biggest goal was to start eating better and my latest obsession has been smoothies. I generally like to pick easy recipes with just a few easy peasy steps, and I've been heading to Whole Living and skinnytaste.com for some delicious (and healthy) drinks. One single glass-full can be pleasantly full of vitamins, protein, and beautiful benefits - which I love. I'm super proud of myself and had to share with y'all!
Here are some pics of this weeks concoction - Power Protein Smoothie! xoxo Well, Dallasites I'm off! I leave tomorrow for Missouri. Just a quick visit to see the arch and the Show Me State. I've never visited, so I'll definitely be taking lots of pictures to share with y'all when I return! If you want to keep up with my little vacation, I would love for you to follow me on Instagram.
Have a safe and fabulous weekend! xoxo You can also follow Lavender + Pink on Facebook, Pinterest, and Blog Lovin'! Happy New Year Dallasites! 2012 was such an incredible year, and to ensure another fabulous year I've been pondering what I can put on my list - so this is my attempt to document and record my resolutions.
One. Eat cleaner + start running again Two. Love harder + worry less Three. Enjoy {quality} time with family and friends Four. Get inspired + be creative Five. Appreciate + be grateful Six. Spend less money {the hubby will appreciate this one} Seven: Travel + create adventures Too many? I hope I can aspire to all of them - wish me luck! Here's to 2013! What are some of your resolutions? xoxo 2012 was an amazing year for me. There were so many milestones and celebrations. To be perfectly honest, with so many little memories wrapped up into 365 days, I don't know how 2013 can contend with such a fabulous year. The future is unknown, but I look forward to new adventures in the new year.
Happy New Year! xoxo I hope that each and every one of you enjoyed the snowfall on Christmas day, celebrating with family and loved ones. I had a lovely first Christmas with my hubby - with early morning baking, mimosas, cinnamon rolls, stockings, presents, and a fantastic morning preparing for a day filled with merriment.
Best first Christmas! xoxo |
